Unwrap Joy at Tower City for the Holidays with New Shopping and Dining Options, Attractions and Events

Cleveland (October 19, 2023) — Experience Tower City for the Holidays as the downtown Cleveland destination fills with festive cheer and interactive events. There will be experiences for everyone at Tower City this year, from an array of holiday shopping options, dining at The Eatery, live music and festive drinks at Holiday Spirits, “snowfall” in Skylight Park and so much more.

Beginning Saturday, November 25, Tower City will be set for the season with the debut of the spiral “Story Slide,” spanning from level two to level one of the Skylight Park. The bright red slide pays homage to Cleveland’s beloved “A Christmas Story” and is free and open to the public on Saturdays, 11am to 7pm and Sundays, 12pm to 5pm.

Additional nostalgic moments throughout Tower City include Bruce the Spruce, who will make his return to Tower City in an exciting new home, Bruce the Spruce’s Forest. Located on level one in Tower Court, Bruce will welcome guests into a winter wonderland filled with evergreen trees, ornament making and whimsical decor.

This year will be one not to miss and we can’t wait for everyone to see what we have in store.”

While at Tower City this holiday season, guests can expect attractions and experiences throughout the property, and some with an exciting new twist, including:

  • Holiday Spirits: Poured by Nuevo

    • Head over to the Holiday Spirits: Poured by Nuevo at The Eatery for seasonally inspired craft cocktails and mocktails, and an explosion of festive décor!

  • Tower City Holiday Windows

    • Enjoy a series of holiday-inspired and festively adorned storefront windows - a nod to the 1950s tradition made famous by downtown Cleveland’s iconic Higbee and May Company department stores.

    • Located on level two towards Public Square, the enchanting displays will feature animated scenes from The Nutcracker and A Christmas Story, historic photos of the Higbee Building, an ode to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and more.

  • Tower City Snow Shows

    • The wintry magic will fall inside Skylight Concourse among the 35-foot holiday tree, lights, and decorations galore!

    • Shows will include “snowfall,” music, and special lighting effects on Thursday and Friday evenings at 5:15pm and Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 12:00pm and 4:30pm.

  • Kringle’s Inventionasium at Tower City

    • Back this year, Kringle’s Inventionasium Experience invites guests to Mr. Kringle’s Top Secret Toy Lab for an immersive STEM-accredited, holiday adventure, beginning Saturday, Nov 18.

    • Cleveland’s own Mr. Jingeling also invites guests to meet with him in front of Treasure House Of Toys Castle, in Tower Court beginning Saturday, Nov 25.

Holiday Shopping at Tower City

Tower City retailers are gearing up for the holidays in downtown Cleveland! Popping up for the season is Apple Jax Toys, a local Cleveland business featuring a curated collection of vintage and modern toys. Located on level two in Skylight Concourse, veteran toy experts Diana Hlywiak and Allen Singleton's shop will offer a range of puzzles, board games, train sets, dolls, books, novelties, action figures, outdoor play, retro items and more.

Just in time for the holiday season, Tower City retailers, The Feet Geeks and Unscript’d Boutique, have both expanded into new and larger stores. Their increased offerings, including more exclusive sneaker options at The Feet Geeks and the addition of personal shopping at Unscript’d Boutique, are now available in their new locations in Skylight Concourse.
